Course Outcomes:

The following highlighted course outcomes tie into module outcomes:

1.  Analyze, synthesize and develop policies, including responsibility, accountability and liability for an IT organization.

2.  Explain ethics and social responsibility of IT, and develop ethical standards and practices for IT.

3.  Discuss and understand the American Legal system, Contract Law, and Product Liability – including warranties, audit practices, including financials, operations and security, and e-commerce law.

4.  Outline internet law, intellectual property law, privacy and cyber crimes.

5.  Analyze, synthesize and discuss various cases dealing with IT law.

Module 12 outcomes:

1. Define domain name and describe how domain names are registered.

2. Describe the protections provided by the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA).

3. Define e-contract and e-licensing.

4. Describe the provisions of the Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (UCITA).

5. Describe the provisions of the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act).
